Brief history | Built by Joe Bayne in Virginia, launched 1984. As of 2021 in Grenada for foreseeable future at the end of a leisurely 20-year west-about circumnavigation. A 30-year liveaboard. Double spreader, mast was made by Cinkel, now defunct company in Canada who made isomat clones. It's a taller mast than the normal ketch specs, is 54.6'. Also with a bowsprit, can carry a lot of sail and remain well balanced. Beta 60 (Kubota) main engine approximately 150 hours on engine. Prop is an Australian airstream Seahawk feathering, stainless steel propeller, excellent prop. Kubota 3 cylinder engine provides power for watermaker and 120 amp alternator. This is a belt driven setup vs separate generator.Installed in Gibraltar in 2020. |
