#138, Gam Zu

1983 Corbin 39 “Gam Zu” is for sale

Gam Zu is an aft cockpit mk2 with the taller double spreader mast, bow sprit and bobstay that really helps alleviate weather helm. Hull Number 138. Asking USD $67,500.

She is located just south of Annapolis, Maryland at Herrington Harbor. Contact Jeff Bowen at captjeff@thesailingacademy.com to set up a viewing. GamZu was acquired by Planet Hope, a youth sailing organization in 2017. Several upgrades were made to set up for sail training aboard such as watermaker, solar panels, additional water tank, etc. She has been used in the Chesapeake Bay in the summers and in the Bahamas in the winters through last year.

We have a brokerage through The Sailing Academy, and I am listing the boat. I have also volunteered as an instructor aboard and know the vessel well.

Gam Zu is a true offshore cruiser set up for extended sailing, with fully enclosed heated pilot house for inclement weather, 4 solar panels to keep the batteries charged, duel steering stations and engine controls, Spectra watermaker, updated Westerbeke engine with only 1900 hours, three blade feathering prop, SSB radio for offshore communications and enough storage to provision for months at a time. The flush deck with 8 opening hatches gives great airflow below and tons of usable space on deck. Stern davits for storing the dinghy. Two large double bunks one fore and one aft plus 2 single sea berths in main salon with lee cloths. With four solar panels there is no need to plug into shore power.
