Brief history | Paul & Christine completely stripped the interior in 2001/2002 in an 11-month rebuild, to the bulkheads, and put all new batteries, wiring, electronics, watermaker, galley, moved the head aft, aries windvane, new deck coring, aluminum dodger, sails, engine, tanks, you get the idea... When we bought her, she had been abandoned for 10 years, and had a healthy maple tree sprouting from the pilothouse settee. Sailed her both ways across Atlantic etc. She has/had black walnut in the pullman berth, and salon/galley, and mahogany in the pilot house/head. We also installed a village marine watermaker, which worked great. During the refit we had 4 people working on the boat nearly full time. We were very happy with the results. We took that boat to Bermuda, Azores, Spain, Portugal, France, England, Ireland, Madeira, Cape Verdes, and the Caribbean, but not the the Med, unfortunately. Then the boat went up to the Newfoundland area from 2009 until approx 2018. |
