Brief history | Info from Marcia Stromsmoe who was onboard from 1996 til 2001 "Les MacNeill bought Lisette, changed name to Rio Nimpkish. Left Victoria BC September 1996 on open-ended trip to Mexico, South Pacific, New Zealand and Australia. Left Australia late 2000 to return to Victoria via PNG, Japan, Alaska. Unfortunately in PNG was attacked and medivacced home. Sold Rio to Tom Amundsen. Attack documented in Latitude. Details chronicled in his books, Red Tomatoes and The Long Way Home." |
